Waiting by Ethan Coen
Lousy reading material, bureaucratic red tape, mix-ups, and missed deadlines ensue, an almost cosmic joke of ineptness – “Waiting” chronicles the story of a man with eroding patience in a waiting room.
Ethan Coen of the Coen brothers, writer of screen classics like The Big Lebowski, Fargo, No Country for Old Men and Burn After Reading, takes his first dive into writing for theatre with “Waiting”, one of three 1 acts from Almost an Evening.
“Waiting” is presented in partnership with the DVBIA as part of our Street Theatre program – bringing theatre to the streets, completely free to the public, engaging new audiences, and entertaining regular theatre goers alike, in the vibrant Vancouver Downtown core.
Gleeful, thoughtful and darkly loopy… a shrewd and weirdly endearing comic voice. – Newsday
