"…go back to the theatre, audience members everywhere, and get your hands dirty. Sit closer than you usually do. Smell the actors and make eye contact and let a little blood splash on your hem. Give the musicals a break for a while: those bastards are rich enough. Let us know that if we are brave enough to write about the stuff that matters, then you'll come and watch. I may never fight a battle, or run for office, or help an old lady across the street - but when I sit down and put pen to paper, I can promise to write about a subject of some importance, and to do so with honesty and courage. The time for fear and complacency is past. Bravery needs to make a comeback on both sides of the footlights, and fast." --Neil LaBute

"Theatre is a safe place to do the unsafe things that need to be done. When it's not a safe place, it's abusive to actors and audiences alike. When its safety is used to protect cowards masquerading as heroes, it's a boring travesty. An actor who is truly heroic reveals the divine that passes through him, that aspect of himself that he does not own and cannot control." --John Patrick Shanley

Reality Curve Theatre was formed when a group of actors; brought together by the shared desire, passion and drive to produce and work on material that spoke to, inspired and challenged, made the decision to step off the proverbial beaten path and create their own one.

Our mission is to produce thought-provoking, intelligent, emotionally challenging, and entertaining theatre. Based in diverse and inspiring Vancouver, Canada, we seek to challenge convention and head in new and unexplored directions, believing that being realistic is the most commonly travelled road to mediocrity.

We donate a portion of profits from each production to a chosen charity. For more information on the group we will be supporting in our next production click here.
